I consider myself a scientist and a humorist. I have a degree, in behavioral neuroscience from Oregon Health and Sciences University (OHSU). But I don't want you to believe me because of my degree but because of the evidence and arguments I advance in my writing.
I've served on the research faculty of the Department of Otolaryngology at OHSU and the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. I was the primary investigator and helped changed the way antibiotics are given to premature babies in an Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
I've also been employed as a software engineer for medical instruments. I invented a half-dozen patented improvements for Blood Pressure Monitors.
I have three grown children. I communicate easily with dogs, because they are so smart; and I can get my point across to computers, because they are so dumb. Communication with my own species is challenging because we are the most complex.
